Jul 4, 2002 · Try not to damage the garnish. Use the screw driver to demolish the insides of the lock, and continuously turn the lock in the open direction. It should open eventually. If this does not work, get a 10mm drill bit onto a drill, and put a nice hole straight through the middle of the lock. Dec 3, 2016 · Your boot will be unlocked when you're next to it with keys in pocket as you have keyless entry. On models without keyless you have the option to single press the 2x button to unlock just the boot leaving the doors locked. As far as I'm aware there is no way to turn on the lights without unlocking doors or boot. Reply.

Mar 31, 2019 · The dash trim just has 3 screws at the top and then pulls out, no guide needed. Yeah, check continuity through the switch in the on position first. Next test would be checking for voltage at the switch plug, and then at the solenoid when pressing the button. Quote.

Having googled it, it seems the boot solenoid are notorious for failing so got a new one and fitted it but still not working. Mar 26, 2018 · Hey guys, I've retrofitted a set of the full leather seats into my 2013 Titanium but ideally I'd like to connect up heated seat function. I'm fairly sure this should be possible because: - The seat connectors on the main loom have all the correct plugs. - The heated seat fuses are present in the fuse box. - It was an optional extra for this model.
2. Lift the boot open and locate the 6 bolts (10mm socket Preferably on screw driver), remove all 6 (one is hidden a little behind the rear wiper mechanism). When they have been removed carefully close the boot so you can work on the outside, the trim holding the ford badge will now be loose, pull it from the car. 3. Try removing the fuse for at least a few minutes. The system is in a low-energy consumption state and it is not until the capacitors fully drain, which can take several minutes, will the processors actually reset. Mar 23, 2013 · I had this same problem on my Fiesta Mk7 (2014) soon after I bought it last month. I have seen several reasons given on this forum and suggestions including replacing the audio switch, squirting WD40, rebooting the system etc. Pressing the switch sometimes worked or not, or pressing the volume button changed channels/track and vice versa.
